Woodbine Family Church of Christ Urban Youth and Family Minister Our church’s ministries are currently directed by a leadership team that includes the youth minister. (We plan to add an adult minister to our staff in coming months.) We primarily serve an ethnically-diverse group of children, teens, and their families. We are seeking a male youth minister who loves inner city teens. This individual must possess strong communication and organizational skills in order to provide spiritual mentoring and faith-building activities. The primary roles of this job are the following: 1. Prepare and teach Bible classes and plan devotionals on Sundays and Wednesdays. 2. Work with volunteers to provide cookouts, bowling, ballgames, lock-ins, and others events. 3. Oversee transportation and supervision of students on trips such as retreats, Winterfest, Wilderness Trek, etc. 4. Plan and oversee camp for students each summer. 5. Provide guidance to students and their families, sometimes in crisis situations. 6. Maintain an active presence at Youth Encouragement Services, a local Christian after-school program. 7. Attend ball games and other events when our teens are participating. 8. Help arrange routes and drive van for church services and other activities. 9. Help communicate news and events to church family, volunteers and supporters. 10. Preach once a month or more, if desired. 11.
